About Us
Vision
We believe our students can overcome generational poverty and transform their communities and personal lives.
Mission
To provide a secondary education for indigenous Ecuadorian youth to increase economic and social equality.
History
Saminay – El Legado (The Birthright) was the dream of a dedicated visionary, Mary Eckert, who with David and Elaine Putnam created a school where the youth of this area could receive an education to improve their lives and employment opportunities.
Through a collaboration with like minded visionaries Saminay – El Legado has become a reality.
